Play http streams

Hello everyone.

I’ve just recently installed plex media server in my synology nas device. I used to play videos from my room through a raspberry pi with xbmc installed on it. I’m planning to install rasplex on it and forget about xbmc but I wonder if I’m going to be able to play http streams. I’ve got a satelite receiver with a built in web server and I can watch it throught http from an address like http://x.x.x.x:8080/live. From xbmc I played it from a .strm file but I’ve read plex is not compatible with it.

Is there a way I can play this stream?

I am looking for way how to add IP cam HTTP stream to PHT menu.

I’m looking to play http ip stream as well but haven’t found a way to do so and IPTV plugin is not working :frowning:
