After an update of the Plex app on my Sony Bravia 4K Android TV, I cant play any files, everytime I get the message “Playback has stopped because the connection to the Plex Media Server has been lost.”.
I tried restoring my TV to default settings, downgrading PMS, reinstalling Plex on my TV.
I’m out of option, some help would be awesome! I can provide logs if you tell me how!
Edit 2: When I monitor the console, the only Warning I see is this one:
Got a request to stop a transcode session without a session GUID (or with an invalid one).
I’m getting the same issue. I can watch media from ios, and pc, and web remotely - but on the TV itself, I am getting the “Playback has stopped” error. The logs show the following.

Same problem here , impossible to found the server .
I found a way to show my server forcing the ip of my TV in the plex server setup but i can’t play any video, movie, music etc
It works well on all others (xbox, pc, phone, etc)
I’m getting this error on my XF90: “An error occurred while attempting to play this video. Please try restarting both the Plex Media Server and this app”. I reinstalled the server and rebuilt the library. Worked for a couple days and now the problem is back. I’ve seen old topics on this problem, tried the suggestions in there but none of them fixed it. Pretty big waste of time having to reinstall and rebuild all libraries just for a few days of functionality.
I guys, its seems than I have the same issue too.
If I launch a media from my shield the file launch itself but I have some lag until the file just stop (Playback has stopped).
However, if I launch the exact same files from my Iphone and cast it on my shield then there’s no problem…Honestly that’s weird, I hope someone can help us.
