The seek function works badly, it reaches the point of absurdity when you don’t even want to touch the remote. My user experience with Plex is awful in general but this part in particular is exceptionally bad.
When you seek you normally press the back or forward button multiple times and chances are high it will end up in a crash.
The logs do not show any errors until you press the back button to exit the playback, then there are a bunch of messages about the dead transcoder and a final warning message saying
Got a request to stop a transcode session without a valid session GUID.
I have a debug log which I can’t attach here because it reveals my personal information. But happy to share it with Plex developers on demand.
