Playback stops randomly on web player

Player Version#: Version 4.84.1

I’m logged in to my Plex server (Windows) on chrome via https://app.plex.tv/ and I often watch content from the browser itself.
My problem is that video playback randomly stops without any error but I see the spinning circle and a frozen image; then I have to press the stop button, and resume playback from where it left… Usually this works just fine, until the next stop.
Sometimes it doesn’t happen at all, sometimes it happens more than once on the same content.

I wouldn’t know what to check, need advice.
Also, I’ve not yet upgraded to latest version because I can’t right now, Plex is being used.

P.S. Playing the same content on VLC is fine.
