Playing 4k content from my HTPC using Windows Plex Desktop Player

Server Version#:1.21.0.3711
Player Version#: 1.25.0.1511-47afccd4
My Configuration: HTPC -> Sony 65" OLED A8H via premium HDMI cable, Windows 10 Pro.

My Issue:
I can play 4k movies on Sony TV without any problems if I use VLC Media Player s/w. However, if I attempt to play the same 4k movies with Plex Player, the playback is “jerky”.

My Question: Are there configuration setting in Plex which I have not set properly? My HTPC should be powerful enough to drive Sony via Plex.
NOTE: Plex performs flawlessly when playing all kinds of media content as long as it is not 4k. Somewhere I am encountering a bandwidth bottleneck.

Configuration of HTPC:

  1. Silverstone ATX GD09B Case,
-MSI B450 Tomahawk Max ATX motherboard,
  2. AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU,
  3. Samsung 1TB 860 EVO SATA III M.2 Internal SSD,
  4. Noctua NH-L12S, CPU Cooler,
  5. 2x Sabrent USB 3.0 to SATA I/II/III Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station,
  6. 6TB Internal HDD,
  7. Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I REV Bluetooth 4.2/Wireless AC/B/G/N,
  8. 16 Gb Crucial Ballistix Sport AT 3200 MHz DDR4 DRAM,
  9. Corsair SF Series, SF450, 450 Watt, SFX Power supply,
  10. EVGA GeForce GT 1030 DDR4 Graphic Card 02G-P4-6232-KR
  11. 4x Noctua Cooling Fans
  12. Sony 65 inch OLED A8H
  13. High-Performance HDMI cable

I would appreciate any help/suggestions.
Thanks.
