Playing higher quality FLAC files?

All: I have a music library full of CD rips in FLAC. CD quality is 16/44.1 and that’s what I have obviously.

I have a great means of playing this across my network through 2 Rasplex clients.

I am starting to research higher quality downloaded FLAC’s (HDTracks, etc) and want to make sure that the Plex Server and Rasplex will handle these files.

Love Rasplex and thanks to the devs.

Do you mean 24-bit/192kHz files?

Regards

Yes, exactly.

Thanks Ned.

I downloaded a few 24/192 FLAC samples and they Direct Play OK, try it yourself.

PMS is 0.9.15.0.

Thanks Ned!

I just purchased a 24/196 FLAC version of Marvin Gaye’s album “What’s Going On”. Great album and sounds spectacular! I am listening to it as I write this. Purchased from prostudiomasters.com

I am running my Plex media server on an Ubuntu machine.

My Rasplex is connected by wifi. I am running a Hifiberry Digi+ board, with a coax connection to a NAD D105 DAC. This feeds an old tube amp and some good Totem speakers.

This is the best sounding music I have ever had play on my system. So many layers to the sound.

Absolutely amazing!
