Playing music through Alexa on more than one device at the same time

As the title says.
Is it possible to play music through different echo dots at the same time (not the same music). So for example, I play some music in the kitchen whilst someone else listens to different music in the living room?

I thought this could be done, but today one cancelled the other one.

To my knowledge, the Echo “system” only permits a music service be active on one device of the known device set. So a work around is to use multiple music services: I.e. in one area have Amazon Music playing, in the other have Plex playing, in another area another music service.

I was convinced that I had managed to play music on different devices at the same time. I must have been mistaken.
Thanks for your quick answer.

My experience is that simultaneous playback can be experienced briefly, but as players go “back to the well to refill their buffers” only one of the active players will be serviced.
