Over 10 years later and this still hasn’t been implemented.
You might as well come out and tell us it’s not going to happen.
This is a basic feature, it should have been added a long time ago.

I wrote my own Python script and have been using it for several years. If you’re comfortable using something like this on the command line, feel free to use it. It offers several ways to sort, analyze, or upgrade playlists:

Bumping this again. It seems like such a basic feature. I keep adding music to playlists in the hope that it will one day be implemented.
