I also would like a different view mode for playlists.
My problem with the collection route is that once you add a movie to a collection
Playlists don’t touch the tags on an item so there isn’t an issue.
Finally got round to playing around with Collections after the upgrade. Am very pleased with it and it covers all the functionality I was looking for when making the suggestion.
One thing I’ve noticed is that if you create a Collection in one library, it doesn’t seem to be available as a pre-existing Collection if you try and assign it to another video in another library. It looks like you are only shown Collections already created in the library you are in. Is that a bug?
That being said, once you have assigned videos to the same Collection from different libraries, they do show up in the same Collection. Within the Collection, all the videos are shown grouped by library.
Such an awesome feature.
