Playlists in the Android Mobile App

In the latest release of the Android Mobile app, Playlist Functionality is completely missing.

  1. There is no top-level UI element to get to playlists, e.g. the “Playlists” item in the left-side Libraries list in earlier releases
  2. There is no way to get a listing of all Playlists
  3. There is no way to add to or create a Playlist
  4. The only way if have found to get to an existing Playlist is if I happen to remember some Library that just happens to have at least one item in that Playlist, go to the Library, and tap on “Recommended”. This is an incredibly bad user experience

Is this the direction Plex is taking? Or will Playlists be coming back as this so-called “Plex Experience” matures? If so, why would anyone release an update that is NOT READY for end users, with entire features missing?

Or am I completely missing something?

Collections are not a substitute for Playlists.

Collections cannot contain content from more than one Library.

I have more than 20 Movie Libraries. And I’m not interested in having an argument with people who think they know better.
