Plays but won't record

For some reason I can play this channel and it will record live, but I cannot schedule recordings. It shows an error in the Android app under DVR schedule with a red exclamation inside a triangle. When I look at it on the server says it failed due to transcoder error. Please help. Not sure what logs to add.
