It is true that personal videos can be organized as Personal TV series library, but it is a very awkward way to organize multiple videos from multiple events through-out multiple years ( instead of drilling down into events in a particular year, you have to pick an event and then drill down into year/season and then select episode that you want to watch). There is also an option to use Personal Movies library and a folder view, but then you don’t see any of the posters, thumbnails, and metadata. I propose a new video library type which combines Personal TV series (thus allowing episodic video clips) and Folder View (allowing multi-level hierarchy based on directory structure). It would also be nice if Plex would examine video metadata to allow search of videos by geographic locations.
