This latest update added a shuffle and repeat button to the Android Auto interface, which is cool I guess, but it removed the rating star! Now I have to dangerously unlock my phone and pull up the app to rate a song when I find one I like - NOT ideal. This is a MUCH more frequently used mid-playback function than toggling shuffle/loop on or off should ever be.
Please, for the sake of everyone’s safety, bring back the star!
Thanks Elan, you guys are on the ball, as always! I had a feeling it was due to a change on the Android side (esp with all the changes in prep for 12’s launch), cause it definitely didnt make sense from a UX design standpoint.
Tried it this morning, and it briefly flashes on the screen for a moment right at the beginning of playback, but then disappears. It kinda looked like it got shifted off the screen by the other icons when they loaded a split second after. I skipped through a few songs and it didn’t seem to flash on the screen any more after the first song.
OK, so for me, if only downloaded items are accessed or only skip backward and forward in the existing queue after connecting AA I can end up in a state where the overflow/star rating and other extra actions never show.
