Haven’t been on for a while as everything has been running so smoothly. I have PMS on my RN104 over the last number of years and fond of late that the RN104 OS is just not up to scratch with regards to power to have streams running smoothly without issue.
So I decided to purchase a Mac Mini (don’t ask why but I do like the Mac’s and this seems a nice way to go about things), I installed PMS on the Mac Mini (Mac OS is up to date) and pointed the PMS to the RN104 (using the RN104 as just the storage device). Now this was back in August 2018. So basically I have the PMS on the NAS running as well as the PMS on the Mac running (both having different server names of course).
Only last week I noticed that the Apple TV (4th Gen) decided it wasn’t playing ball anymore with the server on the Mac Mini but would work with the server on the NAS itself.
Now currently I am pulling the hair out of my head - None of the devices will play any of the files from the Mac Mini server but will play from the Gas server. Nothing changed (that I am aware of).
All the data is visible on the Mac Mini (which is way faster) but everything is showing as Unavailable - I have the Mac Mini mounted to the NAS on Finder as always.
Can someone please help me here as I intended to move (or turn off the PMS on the NAS) to have only the Mac Mini running the PMS. Oh, and that’s another thing… I turned OFF the PMS on the NAS and the PMS on the Mac Mini would find the NAS anymore until I turned back on the PMS on the NAS !!!
