what could be starting it other than manually starting it in Terminal?

I do indeed have this file - is it safe to delete? Will this fix the issue most likely?
Yes, I’m not sure. Here are the terminal commands to remove it:
sudo su
cd /Library/LaunchDaemons
launchctl unload com.plex.plexconnect.bash.plist
rm com.plex.plexconnect.bash.plist
After that reboot your mac and and see if it fixes it. Keep in mind plexconnect will have to be manually ran and will not start at boot but see if it works like that for a few days, if it does you can use a plist with the proper daemon location to load plexconnect at boot if desired later.
thanks for your help mate. gone ahead and removed it. don't mind manually starting up the process as I normally leave my mac mini on permanently. will monitor in the next few days and see if this has solved the issue.

I removed the plist and rebooted and I am still having the same issues :(
Everytime I look at processes running I always get these results:

Look in your /Library/LaunchDaemons and /Library/LaunchAgents folders and list all your plists in use.
i have attached screenshots of whats in these folders.
Do you have something in your startup (login items) like a app that may be launching plexconnect?
ok i noticed i have plexify installed - i think i tested it once but it has never been running ever since. I have deleted it.
definitely nothing at login that is starting plexconnect.
