Please help me

I messed around to get my vpn working with plex,i runned a script found on this forum. Because it wasn’t working I deleted it. To find out not later that plex is already encrypted.
And now nothing plex related works anymore :sob::sob:
Please help me :frowning:

I suppose you’ll need to be a bit more specific, starting with what exactly you did.
It might also help to understand what version of PMS you have installed and on what platform.
How is it “not working”?

I installed a script I found here. Xflak40.
than I tried openvpn that didn’t work either. And after that it won’t work anymore. Before I could sign in with my vpn active, now I can only login on my phone. And I can’t get in the settings or load my stuff.

sorry… completely unfamiliar with that.
have you been able to uninstall the script and can you access your server locally (e.g. using http://127.0.0.1:32400/web if you’re on the same machine as the PMS; http://[PMS ip address]:32400/web otherwise) with the vpn disabled?

I deleted openvpn and now it works particularly. I can access my settings but now I get the error with every movie ‘conversion failed. Transcoding can’t be done’ or something in that way.
thank u for ur reply btw

That’ll be very depending on your specific setup and from where you’re playing your videos. If you want to watch stuff on your desktop/notebook I recommend using the native client instead the browser version. Browsers are very limited in their playback capabilities and therefore limiting Plex. If a client is not able to deal with a video as-is, it’ll ask the Plex Media Server to provide an optimized version (e.g. using a different format/codec for the video and audio tracks of your file). This transcoding can be quite demanding and not all platforms are up to it.

You can help avoid the need to transcode by ensuring there’s a stable/good network connection between the two devices and playing at maximum/original quality (see video quality settings of your Plex client app).
This is especially important if your server platform is not powerful enough to handle the transcoding. While a regular PC with a modern CPU should blow away most videos, even modern NAS platforms might have trouble with that.
You can improve this by allowing Plex to move the transcoding to the graphics chip (works nicely with the iGPU of a modern Intel CPU) – however this feature requires a Plex Pass membership.

I now can play videos on my LG with webOS, but my settings won’t load again. Server also not reachable remotely. Everything was working fine before I messed around. I don’t know how to fix this :disappointed:

Edit : I can play only movies without subs
Edit 2: can’t play anything

I can’t play videos anywhere and settings won’t load. I’m losing it.
What if I place a log?Which log files do u need?

Plex is working again but I can’t use my expressvpn anymore.

hard to keep up with this thread – and harder to follow how things change or based on what change of yours caused what consequence.

If you’re looking for help from the forum, you’ll need to slow it down and share some more details of what you did and what exactly it’s causing.

Yeah sorry. I’m known to make unclear topics.
I decided to reinstall windows.
Probably some things are messed up with it because of installing the script.
I also bought a nas to use with plex.
I made a topic for this.
if u would be so kind to follow it
