I would really love to see a sort by Album rather than Artist in Plex Media Player.
I would like to see this too and regain the ability to sort by the albums specific tag for genre etc
While PMP is still a pre-release project, they have asked that all discussion, including feature requests, be placed in the Plex Media Player preview releases forum.
You can move your request there by editing your initial post and selecting “Plex Media Player preview releases” from the Category dropdown.

Bottom line: it’s recognised as a shortcoming, and will eventually be addressed (I hope!).
