Plex Actor database questions (episodes / actor profile)

I’ve looked through the source for multiple metadata agents so far, but as far as I can see, you can specify actors/roles only for movies.



So, question 1 - is there any way to specify actors on per-episode basis in series?



Question 2 - where is aggregated actor data stored, and how can you updated it from metadata agent (ie, actor photo, bio, etc?). Right now I only see a way to set role/actor name, and actor photo_url.



Question 3 - how can you specify movies that are part of a series (ie, Planet Earth Vol 1, Vol 2, Vol 3, etc).

Anything that’s part of a series you can probably specify as a TV show. As long as theTVDB.com has info on it, it will output the correct metadata for it on Plex. (e.g. I have Planet Earth setup as a BBC TV show in my setup.)



Since the goal of all media players is to play media, not participant discovery, the players do not do anything more than store the names of the actors. If you want to learn more about a particular actor, you would have to use IMDB.com or something like that.

But how do you filter your movies or tv shows by actors, directors, etc? In plex app or web?
