Recently had to rebuild my plex server, and now not getting the option to enable the sonic analysis for plex amp music. Unsure if i missed something, but would like to have the option.

If you’re looking for the setting in Plexamp, I’m not sure it was ever there, though I could be wrong – I don’t use Plexamp much.

In Plex Web on your server, the setting should be on the ‘Advanced’ tab when you edit the music library:

Hi! Thanks for the response, yes i should be seeing that checkbox on the server but it is not there.

Your server software version must be new enough.
Your server must be connected to the plex.tv account with your Plex pass.
Your music library must be set to “Plex Music” for scanner and agent.

Hi, just double checked and those all seem good:
Version 1.32.2.7100
I see the lifetime plex pass tag under the logged in account
But under edit library for music in the advanced section it says scanner and agent are plex music, and the first check box is “prefer local metadata”

Couple of longshots:

  1. Try restarting your browser in safe mode (no extensions).

  2. What linux version is on your server? Help doc says “64-bit only” for linux.

Make sure that Analyze audio tracks for sonic features in the server settings isn’t set to Never, as below:

And make sure that the server meets the requirements, as mentioned above, it’s 64-bit only, and isn’t compatible with ARM (except Apple Silicon for macOS servers).

Thanks for replys, yes 64 bit server and that option isnt there. I see no references to sonic anything just analyze for loudness.

Which operating system is your Plex server machine using?
