Hi,
I turned on Sonic Analysis last night (following the Get Started part of the blog) and really haven’t noticed anything different on Plexamp. Should it look different? Is there something specific I need to do to access the features?

You’ll only see those new features once the sonic analysis of your music library is done. The only exception should be the grouping of albums by release type (album, live album, compilation, single/ep…).
Have you enabled the sonic feature 2x?
Settings > [Server Name] > Library > Analyze audio tracks for sonic features
⋮ > Manage Library > Edit... → Advanced > Sonic Analysis
If you’re using the hosted version of Plex Web (https://app.plex.tv/desktop) you should see the scan progressing during the specified maintenance times (see Settings > [Server Name] > Scheduled Tasks > Start Time / End Time).
Bonus question: on what platform are you running your server?

I believe I have everything enabled and have gone through scheduled maintenance. It is scheduled between 2 and 5am.

My server is running on Ubuntu. It is an older Intel model but runs ok.
A couple of new tabs did come up when I upgraded servers but nothing specific to Super Sonic.

Based on your configuration (#1), the sonic analysis should run as a scheduled task during the maintenance time window specified for your server. You can expand that time – however keep in mind that the sonic analysis will use a lot of your server’s CPU (approx. 50% of the available cores at full load) – especially with an older CPU this can take quite some time.
