It seems that the Plex android app is not able to cast to LG TV plex app. We need this feature to control plex on the lg tv.
This works with the youtube app.
btw doing that with the chromecast plex app it works.

It might be that you need to have a running Plex server in the same local network segment, to act as a “companion relay”.
But i already do. The problem is worth the lg plex app
I have a local Plex server, but neither Alexa nor my Android app find the LG app as a companion player. Seems to be a bug with the LG player
A question: Have you enabled Wifi Direct in your LG TV network settings?
No but i don’t think it will resolve the issue. the problem is with casting capabilities of the Plex application of the LG TV.
Any update on this? Seems like it is yet another issue with the webOS app that has not been acknowledged by Plex
