EDIT: Figured it out. I went to the server web interface Settings>Manage>Console and repeated the issue on the android device to see what errors were thrown. It was a filesystem permission issue on the NAS. I made a few “temporary” changes that I forgot to revert.
What’s really odd is that it is only happening for one of my plex home users. The main profile (mine) works just fine on the same android device (Pixel 7). I just tested a bunch of different media and there are some movies that work fine.
