When is the app for Fire OS going to be updated to include podcasts? Latest version is 6.15.2.4143 .
it appears there’s a growing gap between the different Android repositories making available the newest releases. I don’t think this is only due to the staged rollout…
As a Plex Pass member you should be able to download the installation package for the latest releases from the release announcement (should be 7.0.2 by now).
however… I’m not 100% if podcasts are already available on the Android TV clients – from what I’ve seen, the new UI etc. is currently prioritized for the mobile version only.
I downloaded: kepler-armv7a-amazon-stdExo-7.0.2.5441-1e95bf1b.apk . When attempting to install on a Fire 10 tablet, upon “Do you want to install an update to this existing application…” , initiate install and return “App not installed”. The Google Play (armv7a) version did install successfully on a different device and podcasts are included, so I assume also with the Fire OS version. Just no luck installing it.
