Plex App Knows the Content is There But Wont Play It. (Unexpected Error Loading This Item)

Hi All,

I have just bought a new Samsung 7 Series Smart Tv and added the Plex App.

I linked it to my account and it set up and found all my content connected to my WD Cloud My Mirror Nas Server. So far So good.

However when I choose a Tv Show or Movie to play it just says ‘There was an expected error loading this item’. There is no error code or anything.

I went back to the TV’s main menu and entered the Plex server, without going into the Plex App itself, and I can access and play all the content from there; so why can I play it that way and not through the app?

I have tried deleting and installing everything again and nothing is working there. It would make everything much easier and prettier if I could play everything through the app.

TLDR: I can play my NAS server’s content on my tv but not through the PLEX app itself even though it recognises that all the content and the WD My Cloud Mirror is there and connected.

I am suspecting there is an issue at the Plex end for I have also had errors in the last 30 mins. I am getting errors on my

desktop app

Maybe it is but this has been going on since Tuesday now for me. Eevrything works fine on all my other devices too.

I hope whatever it is gets sorted soon and if I do ill let you know on here too.
