My plex server sets a screenshot as the poster in around half my library. The posters are there, but going through thousands of entries and manually selecting the poster is not fun.
Any ideas?
If you Refresh Metadata for an item does it now set the poster properly? If so, try refreshing the metadata for that entire library.
No rescan and refresh didn’t fix it.
I discovered that it was picking up some jpgs in the movie directories. If there was a jpg with the same name as the movie file it was detected as a poster. I suspect it was from a old metadata scan from a media center manager.
I ended up deleting all image files from my movie directories, recreated and rescanned my movie directories and all is now good.
