I have DreamPlex installed on a nice new Vu+ Solo2 and it looks great!
The only issue I have, is it seems to be random as to whether it will play or not.
Sometimes when I try to play some media, it tries then seems to keep re-buffering over and over.
My PMS and Solo2 are all connected by Gigabit Ethernet, so I don't believe there is a reason why the DreamPlex should have a buffering issue and the Vu+ Solo2 is the fastest Enigma 2 box out there, so everything else you throw at it fly's.
I tried to see what version I have but in DreamPlex Info, it just say's "Change Me" in the Version column :-)

seems to me that you are using an older version. where did you get your version.

I just installed a version via the plugins menu from the default server on the openvix image. It’s easily possible their server is not holding an up to date installation package of DreamPlex!
Unfortunately 1.03 hasn't made any difference, I've tried playing relatively low spec files and higher ones.
It just keeps re-buffering and playing the same 2 seconds (at best).
I tried a SD 360Mb MP4 and a 640Mb MKV, the only thing it seems to like although I didn't test it all the way through was a 366Mb AVI.

In my case, I'm searching a plugin/addon, that can be installed as a channel? in the Plex Server, to be abble to watch my Satelites Channels in the Plex Clients in my house...
Do you know if its possible?

You're looking for an add-on to Plex (server) that allows you to play satellite channels in your Plex client while this thread is about running a Plex client in a satellite decoder based on Enigma 2. Exactly the contrary :)

I’ve just installl the plugin on my dm800hd and when i launch the plugin (v1.04a) i can only see a small part of the screen that looks like zoomed. As a result i’m not able to configure & test. Any idea of what could be wrong?

plex is a hd plugin. just install and activate a hd skin and you can use dreamplex.

I have dreamplex installed and working on my Alien SHD-8900. It works well but for 1 issue. I get really bad pixelation. It works fine on my Roku Plex app over wireless, therefore its not a server side issue and my Alien box is plugged directly into the network. I've tried messing with the segment size / transcoding and direct stream and none of it makes a difference. The bigger the transcoding size the more pixelation there is, but even on a nominally low 2MB transcoding stream, there is pixelation every couple of seconds.
To be fair, I get pixelation issues with other streaming plugins with the Alien Box - so I guess they are related. Just wondering if anyone knew if there was something I could look at in my Enigma2 setup that could be tweaked, but thats probably a question for another forum.
Any ideas?
It is possible to use this plugin like a media server on decoder like VU+ with OpenPLI image ?
