Similarly to: Plex client for Shield. Where are the 14th July release notes? I see that on my Shield there is an update to the plex client dated 13th Jan 26. Where can I find the release notes for this update please? I am not on the beta.

Has the Plex team just given up on telling their Shield customers what’s been updated then?

The release notes in the beta release thread are what was included in release from 13th Jan 26. The issue is that we never updated the production release thread to include these notes. If you want to see what the release notes were, look there for now.
