Where are you getting the watched flag from, is it the viewoffset? And if it is, I assume that's seconds? Is there a length somewhere to determine what the offset should be?
I'm sure there is, but I had the basic watched/unwatched issue sorted a little while ago with some help from another poster :) Guess with the new Windows client, we won't be moving
this on any further :)
I do not use an authenticated plex (or plex access). How can I pass the stream for VLC to play (is it something like vlc http://plexserver:34200/library/video.mkv)?
I would expect an RTP or RTSP url and not an http url.
The http protocol request data/stream and constantly crosscheck if the data is accurate. Usefull for websitepresentation and email etc. But it stalls the datastream if bits and bytes are missing. RTP/RTSP requests a data and trust blindly that all is ok. This is usefull for audio and video streams. There maybe a pixellated instance but the stream moves forward no matter.
In VLC you can request a stream using fx.:
RTP//IP-adress:xxxxport
The exact url might need a makeover to match a PMS request…
However, why would you. Clients are here for Mac,Windows,iOS,Android, Apple TV, Google TV and with limits in LG and Samsung flatscreen panels. VLC has left the equation in my book …
If possible this would be a good way to check if it is the server of client causing my streamig/buffering issues. I'm thinking it is the server now since moving the server from one of my computers to another fixed the buffer issue(not that I want to leave the server on my gaming pc since it gets turned off). See thread here: http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/37926-new-to-plex-having-some-problems-buffering-mainly/
