Plex crashes after adding new media is added, then wont stop crashing

I added episodes from 3 different seasons for a new TV show on the server. The server crashed. i started it again and within seconds of starting it, it crashed again. eventually i created a sniffer program that starts the server if found to not be running. it started 200+ times within a three hour time period. this is not a new thing for me, but this is by far the worst that it has been.
