Just as the title says, for a very long time now (years it seems), Plex server crashes when an update is available. I have Plex running on it’s on Win 10 Pro machine (specs below), no other programs running except OS required apps. It’s kept up to date with drivers and such.
For the longest time, if I go to open Plex on a client and my server isn’t available I can be sure that there is an update that has been detected and is waiting to be downloaded. The OS is always running with no issues. I have it setup to auto login and start Plex if it reboots so it’s not the OS. It also doesn’t auto apply or reboot if the OS updates. It’s just always related to Plex wanting an update.
Once I start it back up and apply the update I’m good until the next update is available. Is anyone else having this? Is there something I can do to find the problem? Since it happens with updates being available, I have no way to predict it. I’ve lived with it but it’s time to report it and get it taken care of it possible.
