Plex crashes whenever I delete a file through my Series X

Title basically.

I’ve been using Plex on my Xbox One for years and recently upgraded to the Series X. I’m running into an issue where when I delete a file off of plex via my Series X, Plex stops working and I need to restart the server in order to fix it. Really annoying as I like to delete things after watching them instead of whenever I get back to my server.

Anyone having the same issue or know of any things to try?

I’m in the same boat, and I just posted this same issue in the Plex Server forum. I’m still on Xbox One and have media and PMS running on a QNAP NAS. But the issue just started recently. Hope we can get a fix.

Ah ok so I guess that means it’s not a Series X issue. Interesting. Hopefully there is a way to fix it.

Hi there. Trying to reproduce this without much luck. Are you saying the app crashes to the home page as soon as you confirm a file deletion? Is the file deleted after you restart the app?

In my setup ( Xbox One S ) the Plex server app on my laptop crashes. Once restarted ( as well as restarting the Xbox App ) the file is gone and everything is fine.

Same issue as below. When I try to delete a file from inside the plex app on my xbox, the plex server on my pc shuts off and I have to turn it back on. Happens everytime I try to delete a file.

On my xbox it says its plex client version 5.6.1 and platform version 10.0.19041.5481 if that helps

Thanks for the information. It sounds to me like this is a server issue. Would you mind reproducing the issue with debug server logging enabled and posting in the server subforum?
