I’m running Plex on my Windows 10 PC and connecting to an UnRaid NAS. I recently changed to pulling media from the UnRaid NAS but I’ve had no issues for the last 14 days. As of yesterday evening, I’ve noticed that the Plex Media Server dies on my Windows 10 PC.
I’ve checked the CrashLogs but nothing seems to have been reported. I found a few files called Plex Crash Uploader and Plex Crash Uploader 1-4. Logs 2-4 all say:
Mar 27, 2021 12:36:11.103 [5672] ERROR - Too many crashdumps detected / retries disallowed!
I’ve been running this setup for over a year and never had issues. The only recent change was the UnRaid NAS, but that ran fine for 14 days before any issue happened.
I should also note that the UnRaid server is reachable as I can see the files on my desktop. Plex Media Server just stops and needs to be restarted. It lasts for about 3-15 minutes and then dies again.
I’ve searched around and the only thing I’m thinking is it could be a recent update, but not sure.
Any ideas?

Unfortunately, no. I did notice that I wasn’t able to load the libraries on my iOS device, but as it turned out it was because PMS had crashed on my Windows 10 PC.
I did a bit of digging and saw a specific user in the logs and removed that user’s library access. PMS has remained stable since then. AFAIK, that user connects with a PS4 but I have others uses that also use PS4 and didn’t see any indication of those usernames.
The symptom I’m seeing is that the PMS application on my PC that is responsible for sharing the content within Plex just closes or crashes which makes all users unable to access the libraries.
I read over your linked post again and it sounds like that might have been related. I don’t know if anyone is connecting over Android, but if the PS4 app shares any of that code, it could very well be related.
I am having the same issue. PMS just stops working and when I check the server it’s not even running any longer. This just started last week sometime. I updated to the latest version and still same issue.
