Plex Dash – No TLS 1.3 Support

Hi,

A couple of weeks ago, I switched my reverse proxy to TLSv1.3 only. Because I don’t use any obsolete hardware or software (or so I thought), I expected everything to be fine. My expectation was confirmed. Everything has been working flawlessly.

Cue Plex Dash. I don’t use it often, but wanted to check something today. I opened the app and noticed it wasn’t refreshing/connecting to my server. Checked the reverse proxy logs and, lo and behold, I see:

SSL handshake failure (error:0A000102:SSL routines::unsupported protocol)

Is this a joke? Yes, Plex Dash has last been updated in April 2024, but come on.

Is there any ETA to fix this?

(Before anyone asks, re-enabling support for TLSv1.2 fixes this, of course.)

It’s really disappointing that this isn’t even planned at the moment. I hope this gets reevaluated.
