I have switched 2 of the 3 systems I am using to the flatpak install. It does seem to be peppier and will be evaluating more fully. I don’t like having Debs/Snaps/Flatpaks all on the same box as this does make management a lot more complex. I do look forward to hearing from plex on this matter.
I am having HTPC and Desktop issues, limited to playing live TV. After Ubuntu 24.04.1 updated to Version 1.41.3.9314 of Plex, HTPC would not play anything from the Live TV guide. It would only give me a paused screen. Playing from the Fire TV, web worked fine. plex desktop worked until I gave it the OK to modify my system (Windows 11 home). Now it has the same problem as HTPC. If I trash the Plex HTPC folder in AppData, login to HTPC, it functions the first time I view a recording in progress (watch from the beginning). After a while the fast forward stops working and the player gets stuck. Seems like an issue with the server working with the player on Windows. Not sure if my issue is related or I should start a new post.
