This has been a bug in Plex Web since Web Shows where introduced. We have had 2 major Plex web overhauls and this issue remains. Also Web Shows on iOS and tvOS do not clear themselves from the on deck after watching. Worked good for a while but not in a long time. Please fix this ASAP.
Have you done anything with your database? Such as moving watched status from another database. That’s the only time I’ve seen anything like this happen.
No nothing. It has been this way since Web Shows were launched. What about a year ago? I have no other watch status issues with my other content in PLEX.
Sorry, not sure what I was thinking. Web shows are not tracked in your PMS database.
Do you get that for new shows you add too?
Yes. I added Hand on Tech recently.
Just added that to test. Had 20 new, marked 1 episode as played and now I have 19. Let me check with the team that handles Webshows to see if they have an idea. Does this also happen on Podcasts?
Please mark all as played and then wait for a new episode to post. This is when it goes screwy on me.
Ah, that did it. Marking an entire show as played caused it to go negative. I think I see what the problem is.

I don’t normally use those clients so I have not noticed that problem. If you can get me the log showing the completion of playback, I can check if something went wrong marking the status.
I pulled the logs right after I finished a “Tech news weekly” web show episode. It remains in the on deck with a progress bar stretched across the thumbnail episode image. You have to go back into the episode and manually mark it as played to remove it from on deck.
I want to answer the podcast question…yes, when I marked one of my podcasts as all read, and the count went to -1. I’m using Linux server 1.16.6.1592.
I submitted a bug on this for android about a month after podcasts launched. It was fixed fairly quickly.
Also podcasts do not sync to SD card and hog up my internal storage. Please, Plex. Get your act together.
Got the log and I do see that playback got to the end. Will forward this to the devs to diagnose.
This item has not been fixed. With new issues introduced in latest updates I have decided to give up on Web shows with PLEX and moved on. Thank you for your support.
