There has yet to be an ultimate app that can serve the needs of old tables that need a second life for digital photo frames.
Photo AI features such as face recognition and object/place.
Kind of Sonic Album/Photo list
Photo with star/like to display in the digital photo frame
Schedule time to display or sleep
Crop/fit to the display resolution/aspect ratio
Auto colour enhancement
Display location, time and other exif properties in the display
TV as photo frame (Apple TV, android tv, Nvidia shield)

Thanks for your suggestion. There’s already an existing suggestion thread discussing the option to run Plex as a photo frame. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. I think your post has some fresh ideas that’ll enrich the other thread.
A really helpful new feature that would make many users happy would be a a Plex Slideshow app (for android and iOS) or integration into the native Plex App so users can have a tablet set aside as a digital picture frame that would circulate all random pictures or certain selected files/photos.
