In addition to movies and music, I’m sure a lot of folks have a substantial library. I’d love to be able to share my e-library with other users. Any plans of this in the future?
e-Books is the only media type that I can’t [easily] set up right now.
Audiobooks was easy as pie (I use Prologue to listen in the car, as it has Plex & Apple Carplay integrations), however- I’m curious as to what media types presently aren’t supported that would be of interest to the community.
.pdf, .docx, .xls, maybe some image types for scanned docs would be very useful.
There is some creative room for virtual UI’s like a cool old desk, a book, a scroll.
For further development, document conversion and collaboration could be explored.
Plex usually doesn’t comment on their roadmap.
There’s a very popular feature suggestion discussing support for Comics, Books or PDFs (“Plex Reader”).
