Plex Fails to Detect HDHomeRun Flex

PMS Version: 1.32.7.7571
QNAP NAS TS-653D

Live TV & DVR setup fails to detect the HDHomeRun Flex tuner automatically. Manual setup via IP address fails as well. The HDHomeRun Flex tuners work independently and are accessible via browser and HDHomeRun native app.

These tuners were working in Plex before but it seems an update caused a an issue.

Any help getting this working in Plex again would be greatly appreciated

Did you delete and recreate your DVR?

yes,…

Deleted and attempted to recreate / re-setup the HDHomeRun tuners. This was necessary because the previous setup stopped working.

The tuners appear to work in every way just not in Plex,…

Once again, any help with this would be great. I have a lifetime sub for Plex and would like to be able to use a tuner with it.

Try unplugging the power from the Flex for 30 seconds, other than that you will have to upload the debug logs from the server from when you tried to add the device.

I have disconnected the SiliconDust tuner for 30 sec or more and it has had no effect on Plex servers ability to detect the tuners.

I should also add that when attempting to setup the DVR in Plex Server the error message of not being able to detect the tuners is instantaneous. There is no indication that a scan of network compatible tuners is even attempted.

Could be the QNAP firewall or database corruption. Your debug logs and more specifically the ‘Plex Media Server.log’ would provide info.

To totally clear out the database :Clear all DVR settings and start again Windows Plex Server.
