Seems really cool and they show Plex in their Video Demos.
Intriguing product idea. Worst product name, ever. In the demo it's just controlling a Harmony Smart Hub - nothing to do with Plex, really. Nice to see the ol' Plex logo in there tho =)
Well, in one of the videos the gentleman asked to start playing Star Treck and Plex starts up and begins playing the movie. VOICE command just like Amazon Fire TV. I thought it was pretty cool and your are right about the name, awful.
Free publicity for Plex and it’s gonna be real successful kickstarter. Suspect to see more people using Plex in the future. But the project is to expensive for me.
I agree, very expensive indeed. Not something I can afford as well. It is just cool to see Plex pop up all over the place. They could have chosen XBMC, or Windows Home Media Server or any other open source media server, but they chose the BEST.

I'm Michiel Kikkert, Javascript programmer (+10 years exp) and based in Enschede, just like the Homey team.
Currently I'm develop the Homey Plex integration using the (fairly much undocumented) Plex HTTP API. I'm currently in the process of developing the Homey Plex App. The Plex (HTTP) API is fairly limited in its capabilities, however, I'm reverse engineering more and more features every day.
Please report back your findings. I didn’t see Plex in the Athom appstore so really curious if Plex is even on there.
I would also love to see what happens when you try to watch a movie with subtitles like they have in the demo video.

The device still looks to be pretty niche. Not sure if Plex has the resources to support that, but I’ll pass it along. It would help if you created a feature request so we can see how many others would be interested.
