Plex, Fire Stick and 5.1 Surround Sound

Hello folks.

Playing video through the Plex App in Amazon Fire Stick. But simply cannot get 5.1 Surround Sound to work despite lots of fiddling with settings.

Can anyone help?

What exactly did you fiddle?
Any details about your setup (e.g. how’s your sound system connected to the TV / the Fire Stick)?

Hello.

Samsung tv with Fire Stick plugged into the One box via HDMI.

Changed the audio pass through to HDMI which is the connection used and which I saw elsewhere as a possible solution .

Oops.

Changing the pass through to optical seems to have worked for no reason I can fathom.

But the audio/video is out of sync.

Any ideas?
