This is an area we put a lot of effort into, but can be challenging across quite a few clients. I can promise that we try hard to keep everything in sync to the best of our ability. In regards to the comment about smoothness - I will point you to this response.
The plan is to add them back! We heard the feedback and this isn’t just planned, the work is ongoing and should be rolling out to clients over the next few weeks. This is definitely an area we will continue iterating on until we make it the best it can be!
Had to check in with some engineers here, but this is a client limitation, it has nothing to do with the underlying OS. The good news is that the question sparked some great conversation today and we are going to take a look to see if we can’t make this experience better.
