Hi at all,
why is my subfolder getting so big? Can I safely delete this?
Best wishes
It is a bad idea to install Plex not in the default location for apps on C:
(Picking a different install location in the installer .exe does not relocate the Plex data folder, which is taking up much much more space.)
I can only assume that this deviation, probably in conjunction with anti virus software, led to the current situation.
You should be fine with deleting all, but the newest subfolder inside of Resources.
But this is a Plex flaw, not a windows bug, isn’t it?
Impossible to say, since all I have at this time are assumptions and almost no detail information from your server.
So I will reinstall on C:\ and report back.
Simple login should be enough to re-claim the server, right?
There should be no need to reclaim anything, because a simple uninstallation from the Windows Apps control panel doesn’t delete anything from the registry, nor from the plex data folder.
DO NOT use any kind of “uninstaller” or “registry cleaner” apps.
as always, your advice was golden. just deleted the unnecessary folder and plex continued to work just fine.
