Version 1.2.0 has been released for Plex for Windows and Plex for Mac.

This release brings fixes for Downloading TV and Podcast shows as well as quality of life improvements for Windows users. Following the directions below will score you the update immediately . Otherwise, the update will be downloaded and installed automatically through typical app usage.

  1. Restart Plex. The update will be downloaded automatically.
  2. Wait 2 minutes
  3. Restart Plex. The update will be installed immediately at launch.

  • Updater: v1.2 -> v1.3 and beyond no longer present an interactive updater on Windows.
  • Updater: v1.2 -> v1.3 and beyond automatically start Plex for Mac and Plex for Windows after updating.

Fixed

  • Downloads: Corrected “Next X episodes” management.
  • Downloads: Ensure media analysis is accurate before download.
  • Player: Correct starting playlist playback at an item that’s not the first.
  • Player: Corrected downloaded codecs not being used.
  • Player: Fixed direct streamed and transcoded playback of already downloaded media.
  • Windows: Fixed Alt+Enter not toggling fullscreen.
  • Windows: Fixed Plex capturing media keys without active audio/video playback.
  • Windows: Fixed back and forward mouse button handling.
  • Updater: Installer runs and launches Plex as current user instead of admin.
