We’ve released an update to the Plex preview channel - 6.3.13

FIXES:

  • Text scaling of unplayed count on media posters.
  • Expired credentials message did not display link code immediately.
  • Retain settings when credentials have expired to support re-linking and preserving customizations.
  • (Video) Portrait playback on Roku 3 and Roku 2 (model 42xx).
  • (LiveTV) Possible issue refreshing Channels in OSD.
  • (LiveTV) Better handle refreshing guide data after long play.
  • (LiveTV) Refocus and update grid to current channel and time when closing.

We’ve released an update to the Plex preview channel - 6.4.0

NEW:

  • (DVR) Show help message when accessing the DVR schedule with no recordings scheduled.
  • (Discovery) Opening a podcast or webshow episode will now show other related episodes.
  • (Home Screen) The source list in the menu sidebar now displays more text on each title.
  • (Live TV) Update EPG style.
  • (Music) Add support for Album reviews.
  • (Music) Move playback controls to screen, always visible and usable.
  • (Music) Show a lyrics button in playback controls if audio track supports lyrics.
  • (Photos) Videos in photo libraries now have a play icon over them to distinguish them better.
  • (Playback) Voice commands are now supported during playback from applicable remotes on systems running Roku OS 9.1 and greater.
  • (Playlists) An icon has been added to the corner of smart playlist posters to distinguish them better.
  • (Video) Add audio setting option to toggle DTS-HD core passthrough on supported models.
  • (Video) Prompt to try transcoding when no audio is detected if direct play was forced.

  • (Companion) Playing a show or season via Alexa always played the first episode.
  • (DVR) Priority reordering text overlapped the drag handle on some items.
  • (Live TV) Always show the recording type selected (This Episode, All Episodes, etc).
  • (Live TV) Do not limit quality when playing HEVC streams (prefer to direct stream).
  • (Live TV) Fix possible crash setting a recording or changing recording options.

We’ve released an update to the Plex preview channel - 6.4.1

FIXES:

  • Fix possible crash viewing an offline source. (6.4.0 regression)
  • (Music) Playback progress time in lyrics screen was wrong. (6.4.0 regression)
  • Fix possible crash when initial Play Queue comes back empty. (6.4.0 regression)

We have updated the public version as well, awaiting Roku’s review, and we’ll post when it is officially available. ( version bumped to 6.4.2 )

We’ve released an update to the Plex preview channel - 6.4.5

NEW:

  • Automatic Home mode that seamlessly configures your home screen based on your pinned sources. Upcoming versions of Plex Media Server will allow unpinned sources to be filtered from your home screen. Automatic Home can be toggled via HOME options.

FIXES:

  • (Hubs) Wrong content may be shown after scrolling left/right.
  • (Playlist) Possible crash scrolling list. (preview regression)
  • (UX) Animate when scrolling down in player OSD.
  • (News) Empty browse topic button has been removed.
