We’ve released an update to the Plex preview channel - 6.6.5

NEW:

  • (UX) Add user avatars to sidebar server items.
  • (UX) Make owner name the primary for title and sort for shared servers.
  • (UX) Make play button text reflect played status.
  • (UX) Update sidebar style.

FIXES:

  • (Live TV) better handle focusing airing programs while scrolling EPG.

The 6.6.5 update has been published to the official channel.

NEW:

NEW:

  • (UX) Add “Background Style” Experience setting.
  • (UX) Add season tabs to episodes screen.
  • (UX) Various minor style changes.
  • (Video) Prefer Direct Play if the resolution is the only reason to transcode.

FIXES:

  • (Companion) Focus loss after flinging video while focused on the sidebar.
  • (PlayQueue) Fix possible crash reordering PQ.
  • (PlayQueue) Focus would move back to playing item after reordering PQ.
  • (PlayQueue) Focus would move to edit button after viewing an item’s options.
  • (PlayQueue) Retain scrolled position after reordering.
  • (UX) Display “Specials” instead of “Season 0”.
  • (UX) Make sure related hub order on a movie preplay is consistent.
  • User settings may not have been preserved due to memory constraints.

  • Disable auto-resuming content when channel is resumed. (9.4 firmware)
  • Navigate to the home screen when resuming if opened 5+ minutes after the last exit. (9.4 firmware)
