Lately I’ve noticed that some shows and movies show as in progress or in the on deck that have been watched many years ago. It seems as though this issue is due to the trakt plugin because after it runs, it makes some shows disappear from the on deck and older shows are sitting in on deck.
I removed and readded the plugin and reauthenticated it. I also had trakt reset my account history and re uploaded the watch data to trakt.
There are a LOT of options in the settings of the Trakt plugin. You access those from the web interface by going to Plugins and mousing of the Trakt plugin and the clicking the wheel icon.
I do not know which option might be causing the problem you describe. I can only report that I have it installed and I messed with the settings a bit and ever since it has operated flawlessly. I do not remember which option(s) I changed because it was quite a while ago and my brain is at least as old as I and sometimes I cannot even remember what day it is.
I use Trakt to sync watched status between my Plex and my Emby servers and it serves well for that. I only use it for TV so I have no idea how well it works for movies.
I do remember some reports that the Roku plugin was misbehaving you might want to ask over on the Trakt forums. https://trakt.tv/forums/
They helped me when I first started using Trakt.
Thanks for responding. I use it mainly for tv. Any way you can send a screenshot of the settings you use successfully. I would also assume you are running the latest version of the trakt plugin and the plex server.
