I wish that Plex would support game libraries as well. There was the approach on GitHub before:

Apparently the project was never continued. Since you can’t run other files in Plex, which is a shame.
Plex is an excellent film library, why not one for games? There are at least as many players as people watching movies these days. The infrastructure is ready and waiting. It would be great to stream all media through an app! And if out house streams require new expertise, this feature could initially be streamed only on the local network.
Why doesn’t the Plex development team provide that?
Even if it was just a “stupid” library without streaming, I would use it and stay

And if you take the wheel further, a partnership with AMD would be a wise move. You would have the expertise of AMD Link for streaming games and you could benefit from AMD’s CPU experience.
Also, AMD would be very interested in a fluid and stable Plex.
The proximity to a CPU manufacturer would be a good enough argument for a game library.
