After a recent update my server will not play mkv files locally. My brothers and friends can still get the files to their various devices but my Windows machine that is running the server fails to even start playing any mkv file. I have tested various bitrates, whether it was due to forced transcoding subtitles or not and no dice. I ended up reinstalling a slightly older version of Plex to see if that would help but it is still getting the same error.
The only other thing I have done recently was delete an 80gb library that no one was using but I don’t see how that would be related.
