Plex High Cpu Usage | Proxmox | Centos 7 Container | Idle State

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with Plex Media Server in Centos 7 Container under Proxmox. Container has 1 GB RAM and 2 CPU and 1 of CPU use 100% of CPU all the time.

I have tryed reinstall and clean all dir with Library but I haven’t success. There is not any transcoding, thumbnail creations.

Any ideas?

Plex Media (1.6 MB)

insufficient RAM. I see it all the time with VMs on 1GB boxes. Not enough resource to go around

Be advised, Proxmox is not supported.

By the way, this is LXC container and it doesn’t need memory for system apps.

I have increase RAM to 4GB, but it doesn’t helps me :frowning:

And as You have said that proxmox is not supported - does it mean that Proxmox Kernel (which is mixed Ubuntu kernel) and Centos Container with Plex Medias Server can cause such CPU usage?

In other Containers - Grafana in Centos, Zabbix, DNS, Nginx in Alpine - there is no high CPU usage.

BY the way, I have downgraded to 1.13.9.5456-ecd600442, and there is no such usage.

Maybe the problem dut of Dashboard in last versions which shows current load?

Do you have a router on your network with UPnP enabled? If so, try turning UPnP off (no need to turn NAT-PMP off, if that’s an option). There’s a known bug in the 1.14.1.5488 release of PMS that interacts badly with the miniupnpd process on routers, notably those running OpenWrt or derivatives.

I have MikroTik, but UPnP is disabled by default. I do not prefer for such function on router (Only manual passthrough the port dst-nat)

But thanks for adwise.
