I’ve been with Plex (PlexPass) for more than ten years.
I’ve seen Plex desktop apps come and go, features come and go, issues resolved, and new issues develop.
However, I wanted to reach out to the Plex team associated specifically with Plex HTPC and just say thank you. Your attention to detail and support is to be applauded.
Sure, it still has some warts and the UI needs work but overall it handles everything I throw at it and almost all the issues I’ve had with it have been due to my HTPC, Windows, my AVR or my setup (or my ignorance).
I previously used XBMC (Kodi) as a server and player but switched to Plex for many reasons. I’d never go back. I’ve dabbled with Emby and Jellyfin. No thanks.
I realise the HTPC should be dead and buried but I really appreciate the ongoing development from the Plex HTPC team.
